We want to thank everyone who attended the Pliskover Association’s 100th Anniversary Gala on October 25. In all, there were 116 people in attendance, representing several states and numerous families. It was a beautiful evening to be on Mount Washington, the food and music were terrific, and the company was top-notch. Thank you to Ann Gould for coordinating such a fine affair. Another treat on the occasion of our 100th Anniversary were recognitions from the US Senate, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Allegheny County resolved it to be Pliskovers Day and the City of Pittsburgh declared Pliskover Association Day in our honor on October 25, 2008. This and much more was all documented in a wonderful ad book put together by Cheryl Kaufman. We are looking for new, energetic volunteers to help ensure that the Pliskovers will be able to celebrate a 200th Anniverary in 2108.
